Forwards, start the attack,
There’s only one way to go, there’s no turning back
Advance, into the firing line, we got one chance at this there’s no second time
Choking fumes and shrapnel lead to disarray,
The hot lead and wire leave bodies twisted and frayed
Mustard gas sears, artillery strikes,
300,000 souls will rest in heaven tonight.

Men stood silent as the grave in the dead of the night,
None of them cowards, they weren’t afraid of the fight

The whistle blows, over the top as planned,
Within seconds, the bodies litter no-man’s land
In a flash, all hell broke loose,
Bullets tear the air and lungs drowning in fumes

Stand fast, men, fight for your life,
As bullets rain down there’s no end in sight
They’ll send it all and well hit them back,
Do everything we can to break their counterattack.

Over the top fear has left, and terror enters.
